Mediation Scheduling & Fees

Clear expectations before committing to the process.

Scheduling mediation involves understanding the process, associated costs, and participation expectations. This page provides information about scheduling sessions, upfront preparation fees, cancellation policies, and sliding scale availability. Reviewing this information before booking helps ensure accountability and a smooth mediation experience.

Schedule a Mediation Session

Choose a time that works

Use the booking calendar below to view available appointment times and begin the scheduling process. Before booking, clients are encouraged to review the fee, cancellation, and preparation information on this page so they understand what to expect before confirming a session.

Scheduling mediation is intended to create a clear starting point for the process. Booking reserves time for the session and helps establish a more structured, accountable next step for everyone involved.

Upfront Preparation Fee

Reserved time requires commitment

An upfront preparation fee is required when scheduling mediation. This fee reserves time for the session and supports administrative preparation before mediation begins. If you have questions about fees or sliding scale availability, please contact Bigfoot Mediation before booking.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Please give advance notice

Because mediation time is reserved in advance, cancellations and rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible. Advance notice helps protect time that has been set aside for the session and reduces unnecessary administrative work.

Bigfoot Mediation’s current expectation is that clients should cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations may still be subject to the preparation fee or other applicable policies. For that reason, clients are encouraged to schedule only when they are reasonably prepared and confident they can attend.

Sliding Scale Availability

Reduced-fee options may be available

Bigfoot Mediation may offer sliding scale availability for eligible clients. This option is intended to help improve access to mediation for individuals and families who may not otherwise be able to afford services, especially in rural and underserved communities.

Eligibility for reduced-fee mediation is not automatic and may require a separate application or follow-up review. Sliding scale requests may require financial documentation for verification, and eligibility is subject to review before approval.

Important Information Before You Book

Review the basics first

Scheduling a mediation session is an important step, but not every matter is automatically ready to proceed. Clients should review the information on this website to better understand how mediation works, what preparation may be needed, and whether the process appears appropriate for their situation.

Submitting a booking or related inquiry begins the scheduling process, but it does not guarantee services, outcomes, or immediate resolution. The Phase 1 website is designed to support education, preparation, scheduling, and payment. It is not intended to function as a secure client portal, document storage system, or case-management platform. Sensitive legal or financial documents are not collected through the website’s basic intake process.

Mediation is most effective when participants understand the process, come prepared, and are able to engage in structured discussion in good faith.
